Privacy, in plain words
Updated 2026-07-17 · This page describes exactly what The Big Guess stores and for how long.
What we store for your show
- Shows: a show code, a host PIN, the answer the host set, and an optional show name.
- Votes: each guest's first name (as typed) and their Team Girl / Team Boy pick.
- Nothing else: no accounts, no email addresses, no phone numbers.
The party is never tracked
The guest voting pages, the join screen, and the TV display carry no analytics and no trackers at all — nothing watches your guests or their phones during the show.
Analytics on our public pages
On our marketing and blog pages only (this page, the homepage, and the guides), we use Google Analytics to understand which content is useful and how people find us. It stays off until you choose “Accept” on the banner — decline and no analytics cookies are set. We don't run ads, sell data, or track you across other websites.
How long we keep it
Every show — including all names and guesses — is deleted automatically 7 days after its last activity. Hosts can also wipe a show instantly with the reset control on the TV display.
Who can see the guesses
Before the reveal, nobody: the server only sends the TV the list of names, never the picks. Predictions become visible to the room when the host starts the reveal. Anyone with the show PIN can watch the show, so share the PIN like a party invitation.
